Born in 1945, Trabzon, the artist entered the Painting Department of the State Academy of Fine Arts (Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University) in 1967. He graduated from Adnan Çoker workshop in 1971. In 1972, he became an assistant to the Adnan Çoker workshop of the Painting Department of the State Academy of Fine Arts.

Since the beginning of his career, the artist’s paintings has been figurative in an expressionist and colorist style. His compositions, in which, form is at the forefront, have shifted to a new expression with long years of work and experience, but color is always an inevitable element. In his paintings, the figure is the basic element of an image with an active mobility depicted in line used in a technique dominated by broad brush strokes and figure is the forefront image.

His works are in private collections at home and abroad, museums, government and official institutions.
