Sahin Demir, who was born in Mardin in 1987, graduated from Selçuk University, Department of Fine Arts. In 2012, he started his master’s degree at Selçuk University Institute of Social Sciences. Demir, is known for his abstract portraits. His portraits depict elaborately detailed clothes, hairstyles and eye expressions with abstract faces painted in swirling brush strokes, mostly missing features of faces and a colorful background. Demir opened his first solo exhibition in Cermodern in 2018, Peker Art Awards, RH+ Young Painter of the Year, won the 2nd National Painting Competition of Karabuk University. He participated in group exhibitions in many provinces of Turkey.

In 2019 he opened his first solo exhibition in Istanbul at Sevil Dolmacı Art Gallery, the artist carried contrasts of chaos and movement to his works with the exhibition called “Through Silence”, in 2021 his second solo exhibition “Garden of Hollow Times” met art lovers with his portraits as well as still life’s.
